In your life, you must fight the idea that working hard is always a positive thing. Working hard sometimes means losing your time on chores or earning a wage from a firm that doesn’t appreciate you.
Working smart is certainly preferable to working hard. Working smart means that you shift your attention away from focusing on working for the sake of working and instead focusing on results.
At this point, it’s critical to revisit your past errors and examine what worked and what hasn’t. This lets you focus your efforts where they count and where they are needed.
Freeing Up Mental Space
This might entail removing the undesirable distractions and clutter from your life on occasion. Work that does not move you closer to your objective is useless. Working on anything that takes you away from the things you enjoy is not worth your time.
Believe it or not, focusing on results lets you simplify your life.
So, if you’re spending half of your evening washing dishes and cleaning the home… It’s time to quit! You worked really hard to earn cash for your loved ones – you exchanged your valuable time for the resources you need – and now the little time you have remaining is going to waste washing dishes?
This is another cognitive repositioning you must master in order to be genuinely successful – you must be willing to spend your money to safeguard it. You have to understand that time isn’t equivalent to money; rather, it’s more valuable than money.
Rather than spending time cleaning your home, why not hire someone to do it for you? You’ve done enough to deserve one, and this way, you may pursue more valuable side projects (and perhaps earn back the cash you’ve been spending many times over), spend much more precious time with your loved ones and your pals, or devote more time to your hobbies that you truly enjoy.
If you’re short on time, consider buying a dishwasher, a robot vacuum cleaner, or even a service that will provide you with ready-made dinners for lunch and supper!
Invest in You
Don’t think that this implies you shouldn’t care about your appearance. You should still do so. This is where our old ‘law of attraction’ idea comes into play. To get the finest employment and succeed with the opposite sex, you must appear attractive.
You need to put in some effort or money to look the part. You don’t have the time to spend hours ironing and running a second business from home — so invest in your appearance. And trust that this money will eventually return to you. Have faith in the Law of Attraction.
That is how those extremely polished individuals who seem to succeed at everything they do get that way. And focusing on results is really a way of investing in yourself. Think about it.
Creating Business Models That Succeed
This is how you’ll build your company models and pick your projects. Consider the resources you already have access to, the people you currently know, and the abilities you currently possess.
If you’re the editor of a magazine on a certain topic, such as cooking or finances, you have a huge captive audience. What company might you start that could appeal to that demographic?
And as I’ve previously stated, don’t consider success in terms of what others might perceive as such. Many people will attempt to start companies based on their ideas that the world or something unique should be changed. But you know what?
There are many hurdles with this type of firm, making it much more difficult to find money and promote your business. If you want to earn money fast, there’s generally no better option than using a tried-and-true company model that many people have used before.
Don’t go into a business without first ‘verifying it.’ Use the ‘fail fast’ principle by creating an MVP and seeing if it works before investing too much time into it. This will also allow you to stay lean and switch between different business models.
If you’re willing to search for the shortcuts and know the most significant elements in each calculation, you can often skip right to the fun part – making a lot of money!
The thing is that you can be a leader in your field without being a jerk. Failure doesn’t have to be as difficult as everyone makes it out to be… This is the most important aspect of success and one of the most easily overlooked.
All you need is the right attitude and some initiative.
